KARACHI: Cricket Australia (CA) will be trying everything to ensure the team stays cool in the sweltering heat of the United Arab Emirates during the upcoming series against Pakistan.

"We will be using ice baths and pre-cooling strategies such as iced drinks, electrolyte drinks such as Gatorade and the measurement of hydration status with analysis of body weight and urine analysis," a local newspaper quoted Peter Young, general manager of CA as saying.

Pakistan's "home series", being played in the UAE due to security concerns in Pakistan will include three one-day international and three Twenty20s in August.

The series, which was initially supposed to have five ODIs, was altered after extreme temperatures were taken into consideration.
