LAHORE, May 29: Governor Latif Khosa has asked the Punjab government to hold local body elections by following the Article 140(A) of the Constitution.

He was speaking at the launch of social audit report 2011-12 prepared by Aurat Publication and Information Service Foundation here on Tuesday.

He said after the 18th Amendment, the federation’s resources had been transferred to the provinces and it was their duty to spend the same for the welfare of the people.

He said the Punjab government’s attitude was negative in providing relief to the people at the grass root level. He said he rejected several anti-people ordinances moved by the provincial government.

“I have no issue with the Punjab government as I want it to deliver,” he said.
