ISLAMABAD: After the National Accountability Bureau (Nab) began investigations into the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) alleged financial irregularities, the Defence Ministry took notice of the matter and sought a report from the Director General of the CAA within a period of three days, DawnNews reported.

According to sources, the ministry took notice of the investigations that began into the alleged misappropriation of funds by the Department of Public Relations of the CAA and has directed it to complete investigations into the matter and submit a report.

Sources added that the Nab acting on the allegations of corrupt financial practices in the CAA’s department of public relations had begun investigations into the Rs 900 million worth of advertisements issued during the previous 15 years.
