KARACHI: Inspector General Police Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Shah suspected that the deceased Superintendent Police (SP) Shah Mohammad Shah might have been targeted for taking part in Lyari operation.

Speaking to media representatives during his visit to the site of attack on SP and his friend in Korangi, he said that four to six assailants riding on motorbikes opened fire on SP’s car from close range.

SP Shah and his friend Dr Dilshad were attacked near Bengali Camp in Korangi 3-1/2 in the afternoon.

The IGP Sindh has also directed to form an investigation committee which will be headed by the DIG East to look into the matter.
