LAHORE, May 22: The PML-Q has said the facilities given to the people in Punjab during the tenure of Pervaiz Elahi are being withdrawn by Shahbaz Sharif one by one.

In a joint statement issued on Tuesday, PML-Q Adviser to Prime Minister Basharat Raja and parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said the treatment facilities given to the lawyers in public hospitals during Pervaiz’s tenure had been withdrawn by Shahbaz, which was unfortunate.

They said besides launching historical facility of Rescue 1122, provision of even costliest medicines was free in all public hospitals.

They said the present Punjab rulers got their medical treatment abroad at the government expenses but were not ready to provide free medicines to the patients.

The PML-Q leaders said the provision of free medicines to the patients in public hospitals had been stopped and now the lawyers were being deprived of free treatment facility.

They said the PML-N government had also stopped annual grants to lawyers.
