QUETTA/LAHORE: Pakistanis on Sunday protested against the latest price hike in petroleum and CNG prices, which has also triggered a rise in transport prices in various cities, DawnNews reported.

The government has increased the petroleum prices by Rs.8.20 and CNG by Rs.11.

The people of Quetta protested the price hike and feared that this would increase the prices of other commodities as well. The prices of vegetables and fruits have already gone up in the city.

In Lahore, the inter-city Transport Ittehad announced raising the fares of the local transportation in Lahore by 10 per cent.

In Peshawar, local transporters have also raised their fares which has added further to the miseries of the people.
