FAISALABAD: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif announced on Monday that he would lead a long march against the government because of long hours of load-shedding in the province, criticizing the federal government for its discriminatory treatment of Punjab, DawnNews reported.
Speaking to the traders’ community in Faisalabad, Shahbaz said a conspiracy was being hatched against the flourishing industries of Punjab.
“People have come out on the streets in frustration but our leaders are ‘too busy’ to address this particular issue,” the chief minister said.
“The federal government is giving Punjab a step-child treatment,” Sharif added.
The chief minister announced that he will also become a party to the petition filed pertaining to load shedding in the Supreme Court.
