ISLAMABAD: A bench of the Supreme Court on Friday rejected the investigation report into the murder Mir Bakhtiar Domki’s wife and daughter, DawnNews reported.

The three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, resumed hearing of the case on the law and order situation in Balochistan and a suo motu notice taken on murder of wife and daughter of Mir Bakhtiar Domki in Karachi on January 30.

Chief Justice Iftikhar ordered Inspector-General (IG) Sindh Police to personally supervise the investigation into the murders, and submit a revised report by March 7.

Also during Friday’s hearing, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Military Intelligence (MI) requested the court for an in-camera hearing behind closed doors.

The bench subsequently adjourned the hearing till March 7.

During the early hours of Jan 31, armed assailants killed Mir Bakhtiar Domki’s wife Jhumar, 32, daughter Janna, 13, and their driver at a deserted street in Karachi.

Mir Domki’s wife was the sister of Brahmadagh Bugti and the granddaughter of slain Nawab Akbar Bugti.
