KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Baber Awan on Saturday said that slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto carried ahead his father’s mission to serve people. She was chain of four provinces but after her death she became chain for five provinces including Gilgit-Baltistan.

He was addressing at a seminar organised to honour Late Benazir Bhutto by Inter- provincial Coordination Department of the Government of Sindh at a local hotel on Saturday.

The seminar was also attended by Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman, Sharmila Farooqi, Ruqia Hashmi, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and others.

Awan said Senate election will be held on time. He said their opponents want to oust the government by one way or the other but they will not succeed.

He observed that his party has got mandate and it would complete its tenure.

He said that leaders of PPP fought for democracy and public. “We are fighting for it and we would teach our children to carry the mission ahead,” he added.

Criticising Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif he accused him of being afraid of jail and mosquitoes.

Earlier talking to the media at Karachi Airport, Awan said that PPP will be a ‘Ring Party’ in elections, and not a ‘King Party.’

On Javed Hashmi joining the PTI, he said that more surprises were expected in what he called ‘GT Road party.’

He denied any threat to the democracy and said that President Zardari’s address on December 27 will not be the last one.
