LAHORE: Chief of the Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday claimed that the army was not taken into confidence over the cabinet’s decision to grant India the Most Favourite Nation (MFN) status, DawnNews reported.

Speaking at an Allama Iqbal remembrance meeting, Mr Rasheed said the ideology of Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was being ignored.

Mr Rasheed lamented that national institutions had been badly affected and said that the government was running but the country wasn’t.
