ASUNCION: US rockers Aerosmith on Tuesday postponed their show in Paraguay's capital after lead singer Steven Tyler was admitted to a local hospital, organizers said.

The famously toothy singer was reported to have suffered a cut eyebrow and injuries to his mouth including two broken teeth in a bathroom fall, the newspaper ABC said on its website, citing hospital witnesses.

The 62-year-old, who has also had stints as a celebrity judge on the US talent show “American Idol,” was expected to perform at the show, which was postponed until Wednesday, promoters said.

Hundreds of fans already had lined up outside the Jockey Club hours before the show was to start, before it was called off.
