LAHORE: Another five people, including a women, died of dengue fever in different hospitals of the city, raising the death toll to 161.

Aalia of Shah Kamal Colony and Sarwer of Gulshan Ravi died at Services Hospital.

Muhammed Ali of Singhpura and youth Abrar lost their lives at Mayo Hospital while identity of the fifth victim, who died at a private hospital, is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, patients with high fever are rushing to different hospitals in the city.

According to figures made available from the health department during the last 24 hours, 325 new dengue cases were reported in Punjab raising total number of 13,401 while 266 new cases were reported in Lahore making total cases up to 11,691.
