QUETTA: There has been an increase in attacks on NTDC transmission lines in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

In three days unknown attackers have destroyed five electricity towers with bombs, which has resulted in losses of millions for Pepco.

Between 14th and 15th August, late at night, in Balochistan's Kohlu district a 220KVC transmission line tower was destroyed.

Another bomb explosion at the H-Shikarpur transmission line tower, has resulted in a electricity shortfall for Quetta and parts of interior Sindh.

Pepco officials have said that steps for an increase in security has been taken to safeguard electricity lines.
