ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani assured the National Assembly that the government will maintain peace in Karachi

Gilani urged the leadership of all political parties to come up with solution to improve the situation in Karachi.

“Karachi’s stability is interlinked with political and economic stability of the country, therefore we cannot afford any instability in Karachi,” Gilani said while speaking in the National Assembly.

He condemned the gang-war incident in Maleer-Landhi that resulted in the killing of people and sought report from provincial government.

He said that the findings of the report will be presented before the house.

“I directed the chief whip of the party from London to ensure quorum in the present session so that a debate could be held on this important issue and get suggestions from the parliamentarians,” he said.

Moreover, the MQM MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi blamed the government by calling terrorists as state-owned.
