IT has been observed on many occasions that the police seem to use unreasonable force to control a crowd. According to the procedure, the police should use minimum force and that is only when it is required.

Even baton-charging is to be aimed only below the waist.

But it has been observed that the police resort to unruly methods while controlling a situation.

It is important that as the police are assigned the duty to protect lives and property of citizens, an out-of-control mob needs to be tackled while adhering to the rules.
