Mohammd Hafeez and Misbah-ul-Haq continued to their impressive run in the Carribbean, guiding the Pakistanis to a solid 330-7 (dec) against Guyana in their only tour match before the series against West Indies starts on May 12.

Misbah's unbeaten century was the cornerstone of the Pakistan innings after their openers had put in a 92-run stand. Hafeez scored 52 of those runs while middle-order batsman Azhar Ali, promoted to the opening role, crafted his way to 57. The other significant contribution came from fast bowler Umar Gul (40) who combined with Misbah for an 86-run partnership.

It was the spinners who did most of the damage for Guyana. Amir Khan, a member of West Indies Under-19 side, was the most successful bowler, taking 3 for 88, while Zaheer Mohamed picked up 2 for 68.

Guyana had managed 25 for no loss when bad light stopped play.
