ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said that banned outfits Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and al-Qaeda are involved in the growing acts of terrorism in the country.

Malik also spoke regarding the missing persons in Balochistan and said that the number of missing persons was 203, out of which the location of 28 had already been traced.

He said that in order to trace the previous unresolved missing person cases, a parliamentary committee has been established under the supervision of the Defense Secretary, which included ISI officials along with military intelligence officials.

The minister also stated that under the supervision of a High Court judge, Justice Fazal-ur-Rehman, a permanent commission has been formed to address the grievances of the relatives of the missing persons.

Malik also presented a report compiled on the measures and progress so far made on the missing person cases. The Senate session was then adjourned until 10:30 am Friday.
