KARACHI: The death toll in incidents of firing and other violence in Karachi rose to 12 on Friday, DawnNews reported.

The dead included an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Moreover, two cars were torched by unknown assailants in the city's Orangi Town area.

Over the last few days, nearly 50 people have lost their lives to the fresh spate of targeted killings on ethnic and political grounds in the city that has witnessed quite a few such waves of violence for the past many years.
