ISLAMABAD: A US embassy vehicle on Saturday hit a motorcyclist in the capital city, leaving him critically injured.

According to police officials, the vehicle bearing registration number MK-743 overran Maqbool Ahmed who was riding with his wife and child .

Ahmed and his wife suffered injuries while the child remained unhurt. The injured were rushed to Polyclinic Hospital.

Police arrested the driver named Carlos, an official of the US embassy, and started investigation.
