SYDNEY: England allrounder Tim Bresnan will miss the rest of England's tour of Australia due to a torn calf muscle.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said Sunday that Bresnan will return home with the expectation he will recover in time to join England's squad for next month's World Cup.

Bresnan suffered the injury during the second one-day international against Australia in Hobart.

Paceman Steven Finn, who had been due to join an England A tour of the West Indies, will now remain with the England squad throughout the remainder of the Australian tour.
