Army added to their tally of their shooting medals on Sunday, when their shooters combined to win the team gold in the 25 metre pistol shooting event of the National Games.

Mustaqeem Shah (560) and Kabir (550) clinched the top two spots while Muhammad Boota’s score (540) also added to Army’s first-place finish with 1650 points. Meanwhile, Pakistan Navy’s three shooters, Muhammad Tabassum, Irshad Ali and Captain Ghulam Abbas scored an aggregate of 1620 points to ensure a silver medal for their team.

Pakistan Air Force finished third, bagging the team bronze, with 1573 points.

The shooting events of the 31st National Games are being held at Islamabad’s Gun and Country Club.
