MANSEHRA, March 25: In a veiled reference to Tehrik-i-Sooba Hazara leaders, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and former provincial chief minister Sardar Mehtab Abbasi on Monday said a group of people conspired against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his party for wiping them from Hazara but miserably failed.

The statement was made during a public meeting, which PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif chaired here.

Ironically, Gohar Ayub Khan, his son, Umar Ayub Khan, and PML-N leader Sardar Mohammad Yousaf, who were until recently active members of the movement for turning Hazara into a separate province, were also in attendance.

“Nobody can remove PML-N and Nawaz Sharif from the hearts and minds of the people of Hazara. Where are those who conspired against PML-N and Nawaz Sharif, now?

They should come and see how popular PML-N and Nawaz Sharif are in Hazara,” said Mr Abbasi.

He said PML-N was sincere in making Hazara a province and that’s why the creation of Hazara province was part of its manifesto.

The PML-N leader said the people should vote the party to power so that it could make Hazara a province.

He said corrupt rules had given the country nothing but chaos and deprivation.

“We will bring out the real change if the people elect us,” he said.
