KARACHI: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation administrator Mohammad Hussain Syed, who headed the civic agency for over a couple of years, was on Thursday transferred and directed to report to the services, general administration and coordination department.

Karachi Commissioner Hashim Zaidi has been given the additional charge of the KMC.

A provincial civil service officer of BPS 20, Mr Syed was posted as the Karachi District Coordination Officer on Jan 1, 2011 and on July 9, 2011 he was also given the charge of commissioner that he held for around a month till August 2011. He was DCO when the system was changed and he became administrator and continued in the post till Feb 21, 2013.—Staff Reporter
