Why, why, why? Why do young girls, from the pop industry at that, are asked to interview a literary giant like Bano Qudsia? One must praise Bano Apa for replying to some of the most outrageous questions hurled at her by Rabi Pirzada during a talk show that the latter hosts on a local TV channel. The queries included multiple choice questions such as with whom Bano Apa would like to have dinner (and were given three names of politicians to pick from). The great novelist and playwright answered all the questions as calmly as she could, occasionally surprising Rabi P. I mean someone should have told her that she was not interviewing a TV actress for God’s sake. And if she was somehow bound to that programme, she could have tweaked the questions a bit or at least changed the names mentioned in MCQs.

So who’s next Rabi P? Abdullah Husain?
