KARACHI, Jan 22: A PML-N leader was shot dead along with his father in the Defence area late on Tuesday night, police said.

They said the incident took place in Phase VII, Khyaban-i-Jami, when gunmen on a motorcycle sprayed bullets on two men inside a car parked near a medical store.

The victims were rushed to a hospital where they died during treatment. The victims were Mian Arbab, 58, and Mian Taimur, 30. SSP Nasir Aftab confirmed the victim’s affiliation with the PML-N.

Earlier in the day as many as 12 people were gunned down in the city. — S. Raza Hassan
