KARACHI, Jan 6: A man and his minor daughter were killed and his elder daughter was injured when unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at their car near Aisha Manzil in the small hours of Monday.

Asghar, 40, and one-and-a-half-year-old Zainab died when being taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The injured girl, identified as Dua, was admitted.

Gulberg SSP Amir Farooqui said police were trying to know if the attack was of a sectarian nature.

According to sources, Asghar’s brother had been attacked in the past.

Karachi has witnessed several sectarian attacks on families over the past year.
