HYDERABAD, Dec 19: A rally taken out by activists of Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST) reached Hyderabad and took rounds of various localities here on Wednesday.

Led by JST president Dr Safdar Sarki, the rally aimed at drumming up public support against Sindh People's Local Government Act (SPLGA).

Leaders of Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP) Muzaffar Kalhoro and Hyderabad district chapter of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F Azam Jehangiri welcomed the participants in the rally at the Naseem Nagar roundabout in Qasimabad.

Dr Safdar Sarki said the newly-enacted SPLGA would divide Sindh and create serious differences among people here, but people of the historical state would never tolerate its division. He also rejected the Kalabagh dam project.

The rally is scheduled to reach Karachi on Dec 30.—Staff Correspondent
