KARACHI: At least two people lost their lives on Wednesday after a bomb exploded near a local restaurant in a busy locality in Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial capital, DawnNews reported.

According to initial reports, the loud explosion shook the Muzzafarabad colony area of Landhi, injuring an additional six people.

Eight people were initially said to have been injured. However, it was later reported that two of the wounded died while being shifted to the hospital.

Initial reports also suggested that the bomb was placed near the wall of Ghareeb Nawaz hotel, a local restaurant in the busy neighbourhood.
