INSTEAD of taking the bull by the horns, our government and its ubiquitous interior minister are wasting all their energies trying to hold the bull’s tail, suspending the cellular networks, shutting down the institutions for three consecutive days and banning pilion riding on motorcycles.

This can only result in paralysing the whole country. Is it a reasonable cost to escape from any ‘major tragedy’? Is it our victory?

Should we celebrate it? Shouldn’t the government arrest the agents of hate instead of taking such measures?

It is time to deal with these extremist elements with an iron hand to make our country a better place to live in.
