ISLAMABAD: The Suddle Commission, which is investigating the case involving Arsalan Iftikhar, the son of chief justice of Pakistan, and former chief of Bahria Town Malik Riaz, has filed its interim report to the Supreme Court, DawnNews reported.

The commission, headed by Shoaib Suddle, probed alleged tax evasion and illegal accounts of both parties. Sources said that the report is a 30 page document detailing the commission’s progress.

In the report, the Supreme Court was urged to call both parties to testify before the commission. Sources said that the commission could not verify the alleged Rs90 million assets of Arsalan Iftikhar.

Commission sources said preliminary investigations have also revealed large-scale tax evasion. It also revealed that both parties have not submitted their tax statements for the past three years.

The investigations proved that Arsalan Iftikhar had spent Rs55 million during three visits abroad.

Sources said that before the final report is presented, the two parties will be questioned in person by the commission.
