Cowasjee and Bhandara

Published November 29, 2012

WE all mourn the loss of a brave and straight-talking person. Cowasjee and my late father M.P. Bhandara were good friends.

They both were bitter-tongued but upright, loyal and honest and loved the Quaid’s Pakistan.

After my father’s death in 2008, he used to regularly call me and inquire if any one is trying to harass me. He was acting as my guardian angel.

Now I have one less guardian angel and Pakistan has one less patriot.

I pray may God bless his soul and he may rest in eternal peace.!

ISPHANYAR M. BHANDARA Rawalpindi

Upright journalist COWASJEE was a true Pakistani. He spoke his mind, exposed the corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and anti-state elements without fear.

He also exposed their evil designs and highlighted the fact that we as a nation had gone ashtray.

He reminded us of the ideology of Pakistan that the Quaid had professed and the path of progress that he had envisioned for our Pakistan.

But unfortunately the Quaid’s ideology, with our country, was hijacked by corrupt mullahs, corrupt politicians, corrupt bureaucrats and power-hungry generals.

Although Cowasjee is gone, his message lives on and hopefully the young generation will some day rise and rise with such powerful force that Pakistan will become a peace-loving, corruption-free, progressive country where all Pakistanis live in peace and harmony.
