KARACHI: Incidents of violence continued as three people lost their lives and several others were injured in different areas of Karachi,whereas Rangers and police conducted various raids arresting eights suspects,  DawnNews reported on Thursday.

A body was found near Crown cinema within the remit of Kalri area of Karachi. The body bore marks of torture according to police sources.

Another body, bearing stab wounds,  was found near Tibet centre, MA Jinnah road in Karachi's Saddar area.

A 35-year-old man died when unknown persons shot him in Aziz Nagar area of Karachi's Orangi Town.

Two people suffered gunshot wounds when unknown gunmen opened fire in Karachi's Bakra Piri area in Malir.

Two more people were injured by gun firing in North Nazimabad's Lassi Goth area of Karachi.

Meanwhile, rangers and police conducted raids in different parts of the city arresting several suspected criminals. Security sources claimed to have recovered arms and looted goods from the suspects possession.

Two persons, suspected of involvement in street crimes, were arrested in a police raid conducted in Quaidabad area of the city.

In Manghopir, CID arrested three extortionists allegedly associated to the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

In another raid carried out in Lyari, Rangers arrested a gangster called Baba Lashari and recovered weapons and other looted items from his possession.

Rangers arrested two suspected gangsters in a separate raid carried out in Karachi's Lyari area. Security sources claimed to have recovered five hand grenades, five AK-47 rifles and  two Light Machine Guns (LMG)s and other weopons from the arrested suspects.
