ISLAMABAD: Two militants, associated with the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were arrested in an operation by security forces in Islamabad, DawnNews reported on Tuesday.

According to security sources the two suspects were planning an attack on the Islamabad airport and both had acquired a rented residence in the vicinity to survey the area.

Security sources added that the two men were arrested from a local hotel.
