It must be noted that the price of CNG and petrol has been reduced by two rupees. The new prices are effective from October 21.  According to the notification, after a decrease of Rs2.35, petrol is now available for Rs101.08 per litre.

The new rate for hi-speed diesel after a reduction of 33 paisa is Rs113.29 per litre while light diesel is available for Rs97.68 per litre after the price was lowered by 55 paisa. Kerosene is available for Rs103.26 per litre after a reduction of 61 paisa.

In region II which comprises of Sindh and Punjab, the price was lowered by Rs1.94, with CNG now being available at Rs84.54 per kg.

Meanwhile, consumers have rejected the decrease in prices of CNG and petroleum products as ‘useless’, saying that the weekly increase and decrease is doing them no favours.
