ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has that the Supreme Court must take notice of PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar’s speech, DawnNews reported.

Appealing to the superior court to take action, he further questioned as to why General Asad Durrani’s statement was ignored.

Talking to the media, he said that had he been in Nawaz Sharif’s place, he would ‘asked for forgiveness and given up on politics’.

“When the verdict is against Nawaz Sharif, he dubs it injustice. Nisar must ask Nawaz as to why he took money,” he said.

Chaudhry Nisar had earlier on in a press conference said that he doubted the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) could properly investigate the verdict in the Asghar Khan case, stating that they had no trust in the FIA.

The PML-N leader also made the allegation that a political cell still operates from Aiwan-e-Sadr. He also said that former ISI chief Ahmad Shuja Pasha had spent spent the nation's money on propping up Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI).
