IT is now clear that Fazlullah is still asserting himself in Swat as the attack on Malala shows. The question that arises now is about his whereabouts.

Information gathered from wire services, Afghan government officials, media reporters and intelligence agencies suggest that Fazlullah and his collaborators are hiding in Kunar and Nuristan provinces of Afghanistan.

Time and again Pakistan took up the case at government and Foreign Office levels, telling the world community to ask the Kabul government to initiate action and expel them so that they could be tried in the court of law.

Now that the world community has realised that giving refuge to Fazlullah in Afghanistan is intriguing and it is time he was handed over to Pakistan in view of the attack on Malala.

Security situation

THE attack on Malala has raised many a question about security providers. It has also deeply damaged the image of Pakistan and Islam worldwide.

As Malala is an international icon, some precautions should have been taken by the government regarding her security to avoid this sad incident.

It was shocking to know that an international icon and symbol of peace, harmony representing Pakistan internationally is just moving in a school van without any security arrangements.

Attack on Malala is more inhuman than un-Islamic, the culprits behind this attack must soon be brought to justice. All our sympathies are for Malala. May Allah cure her soon.

Malala: our hope

THE best way to threaten those who threaten us is to spread education.

Targeting Malala is tantamount to targeting education and her dreams of education in the twinkling eyes of little girls.

The terrorists have tried to shut her up but now the whole world speaks for Malala: for education.

Her message now reverberates across the globe, which is peace.
