KARACHI: Pakistan have been drawn against Sri Lanka for next year's Davis Cup in February 2013 for the first round match of Asia/Ocenia Zone Group II.

Sri Lanka is the designated home team for the first tie which is set to take place from February 2-3.

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) secretary, Mumtaz Yousaf, was quoted as saying by a local newspaper that the federation will try to play at least one match in Pakistan. He added that the choice of court which the host country has, is an advantage which will benefit Pakistan.

Yousaf also said that Davis Cup preparations will be discussed at the next PTF annual meeting. He also said that it would be decided in the next meeting whether or not to retain Mohammad Khalid as the non-playing captain.
