ISLAMABAD: Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party, Jahangir Badar on Thursday said it was the right for Pakistan and India to take concrete steps on building good relations besides focusing their energies to eradicate poverty, illiteracy, disease and extremism.

Badar, also the leader of the House in Senate hoped that the upcoming visit of Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna to Islamabad would help normalize relations between the two countries.

He said the Pak-India dialogue process would reaffirm that all outstanding issues be resolved through negotiations.

He said the agreement between the two countries to liberalize visa regime would enhance people-to-people contacts. The regime is expected to be signed during the visit of Indian External Affairs Minister.

He recalled his visit to India as the leader of Pakistan's parliamentary delegation and said he found staggering goodwill existed among the Indians for the Pakistani people.
