ISLAMABAD, Aug 31: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date for filing income tax returns and statements for the year 2012, says FBR spokesperson Riffat Shaheen Qazi.

The date for filing returns through e-portal in case of salaried persons or a statement required under sub-section (4) of Section 115 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, which was due on Aug 31, has been extended to Sept 30.

Similarly, the date for filing annual statement of deduction of income tax from salary to be filed by employer as provided in sub-section (3) of Section 118 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, has been extended to Sept 10.
