PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to setup a separate 'High Security Jail' for the most wanted and high profile prisoners in province.

According to a press release of Home Department here on Thursday, the establishment of 'High Security Jail' has been included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2012-13 with allocation of Rs. 600 million.

A high-level committee under the supervision of Additional Secretary, Development and Finance, Home Department with its members district police officer Swabi, district revenue officer Swabi, XEN Swabi, District Monitoring Officer Mardan, Section Officer Development Home Department have visited District Jail Swabi for selection of land for this said project.

The committee reviewed various issues pertaining to security and provision of basic facilities and would submit its recommendations to the Home Secretary/Competent Authority soon.
