PESHAWAR: Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) on Tuesday has been installed at Pak-Afghan Torkham border to prevent entry of terrorists in Pakistan, DawnNews reported.

The new IBMS was installed at 121 entry and exit points including Torkham border and the system was linked with Interpol, Passport, National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The system will help Pakistan to prevent the entry of terrorists in the country.

The IBMS will deter people from travelling on stolen passports and will also empower the authorities to take action against foreigners whose visas have expired.

Earlier, the modern Integrated Border Management System was also installed at Bacha Khan International Airport.

The experts trained the staff to install the system at Pak-Afghan Torkham border.
