IT seems lady luck is once again with President Asif Zardari whose main political opponents seem to be too obsessed with criticising each other. They are oblivious of the problems that this nation is suffering.

Our political leaders consider themselves a gift to mankind by God. What they have forgotten is that it is because of Pakistan they have got fame, power and wealth. They should ask themselves what they have done for this country. How could the PML (N) and the PTI’s mudslinging against each other be beneficial to the country?

Will this useless battle of words resolve issues of power shortages, inflation, economic meltdown, targeted killings, missing people, terrorism, and the collapse of railway, PIA, NICL, OGDC, Pakistan Steel Mills and other state enterprises? The priority of Imran Khan and Chaudhry Nisar seems to be their own personal egos, not the fate of this country and its people.
