KARACHI: Pakistan will not have a training camp before the upcoming series against Australia, depending instead on the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) which begins from August 10, team manager Naveed Cheema confirmed, according to a local newspaper.

Cheema, however, added that a brief camp might be held after Eid.

The "home series" against Australia being played in the UAE due to security concerns in Pakistan will have three one-day internationals and three Twenty20s starting from August 28.

Thirteen Pakistan players will be involved in the SLPL after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed to let them play in return for the participation of the Sri Lankan players in the Pakistan Premier League. Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Misbah ul Haq, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal and Umar Gul are some of the players who will be playing in the SLPL.
