KARACHI: Pakistan is set to play a five-match series in Italy which will mark its debut in European baseball in the International Baseball and Softball Tournament ‘Citta Di Arezzo’ Tuscany Series.

Pakistan will face South Africa, USA and several Italian Clubs in the series which will start from July 26.

The squad, whose participation was in doubt until a week ago as the required NOC was not issued, has been training for six weeks.

The team coach Musadiq Hanif, while talking to a local newspaper, said Pakistan's participation in the series was a great achievement and his expectation from the team were realistic.
