JULY 19 proved to be a sad day for rightwing politicians of Pakistan because their joint candidate, supported by the PML-N, PTI, JI, Supreme Court, media, TTP and Al Qaeda, lost to the PPP candidate in NA-151, Multan.

There was a tough fight between them and the PPP candidate, who won with a narrow margin.

A well-deserved victory, this is a blow to rightwing politicians. Election results of this constituency show that people want democracy to flourish and parliament to reign supreme. Democracy has won.
