Control on prices

Published Jul 01, 2012 04:07am

THERE is no control on the prices of commodities and the Consumer Price Index moved up drastically along with the price hike.

Now with marginally good relief on fuel prices, neither transporters nor the sellers of commodities came up to lower the hiked prices. In fact, even Nepra did not announce any reduction in electricity tariff.

It is the role of the government to make sure that transporters lower fares, sellers of daily-use commodities lower prices and Nepra reduces power rates so that much-needed relief is provided to the people.

we can not expect any kind of relief from our government because no one is dealing the matters fairly. as per code of conduct the government has to provide necessary facilities to the public even without asking but unfortunately our leaders and rulers are here to play the game of politics not for the betterment of Pakistan.
