Pakistan Academy of Letters is organising a condolence reference in the memory of an eminent scholar, writer, novelist and columnist Obaidullah Baig at the PAL conference hall at 3:30pm.

National consultation

Aurat Foundation’s Legislative Watch Programme for Women’s Empowerment is organising a national consultation on ‘Political Parties’ Manifestoes — suggestions for women’s empowerment’ with provincial legislators, political parties women wings and civil society organisations at Islamabad Hotel at 10am.

Thursday Conference

The inaugural session of the National Conference on ‘Media Ethics — Theory and Practices’ will be held at Hill View Hotel at 9:30am. Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira will be the chief guest.

Friday Seminar

The Population Council Pakistan in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is organising a seminar on ‘Capturing the demographic dividend in Pakistan’ followed by panel discussion on the Global Family Planning Summit — London July 2012 at Marriott Hotel at 9am.
