ISLAMABAD, June 25: A professor at OPF College Rawalpindi was gunned down in capital’s rural area on Monday night.

Police said the victim, Javed Shahzad, was intercepted on service road of Ghauri Town Phase-II by the car riders. A man disembarked from the vehicle and shot him. He suffered a bullet injury near his ear.

Some passers-by, who witnessed the crime, informed the police who reached the spot and shifted the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After identification, police informed the family of the deceased, suspecting old enmity to be the motive behind the murder.—Staff Reporter
