It is unfortunate event for Pakistan as a parliamentary democracy on the move!

God save Pakistan..... Outside Pakistan we feel the sacred country is being bled to death by unscrupulous, anti-national and corrupt rulers... Hope people of Pakistan will rise to the occasion now and save their country.... a brave people as they are!

This is not unfortunate, its a great moment for pakistan. A corrupt man cannot be a prime minister. These guys cries for democracy just to hide their corruption. They are not even eligible to become prime minister.

It is the Incredible decesion have taken by SC .I will leave the positive impact in PAK politics .

Nothing is going to change.Faces change but the mentality and thinking still remains there.

Dishonest politicians like mister Gilani has ridiculed the whole nation during the last four years ine the name of democracy. What better has this Mr Gilani done for the country & its people during the rule contra the previous dictator government? Shown time and again incompetence, mismanagement, dishonest to their motherland ant their armed forces (ref the memo episode, when after Mumbai attacks, Mr Gilani without consulting anybody ordered its ISI chief to go to India, when Mr Haqqani was lodged in the Pm''s house during the memo epsiode (a person who was suspected as a traitor is living in the countries primeministers house). Whener Mr Gilani opened his mouth to hold a speech og interview to the foreign media, the whole nation was ashamed. There were never any logic, he had one excuse for all the accusations "Pakistans 180 million population has elected me and the parliament is supreme". Im glad that the chief Justice has finally given a clear verdict.

This decision will establish the supermacy of law in Pakistan.

with apologies, I think you need to rethink your view, it's unfortunate that it took this long for this day to come, have you seen the state of country lately? or you are too busy chanting PPP slogans?

Corruption is like a cancer, every last semblance of it needs removal be it from the very bottom or the very top of the political arena.

We are at this turning point because the nation could not develop political acumen since its birth, as it remained under martial laws, most of the time; and martial law means no politics. This moment provides a political lesson to the nation that legal matters deserve attention. I am sure in the coming days we will face more such events that will teach lessons to the nation. Nations take years to get mature. The crises is a challenge to the politicians, I have hope and I pray that they must not disappoint the nation. For me anyone who takes part in politics is good, as I firmly believe that only politics has solutions to our problems; only politics can save a nation; and only politics can bring in progress.

Hats off to the Judiciary for its wonderful verdict. There are more than one reasons why Y.R Gilani should have resigned much earlier. He was sticking to power through sheer abstinacy

It seems like personal agenda by supreme court.

Why it is unfortunate? rather having a corrupt and convicted Gilani is unfortunate for the people of Pakistan to have... Its really a good one..

Pakistan will regret this judgement. It has put Judiciary and Parliament on loggerhead for ever, just as earlier decisions put Executive and Parliament at loggerhead.
