Pakistan will be looking keep up their winning momentum against Sri Lanka when the two teams face off in the 2nd ODI in Pallekele today.

They will go into the game hoping for a repeat of their performance on Thursday and if the overcast conditions hold, Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Sami could once again prove to be a handful. Such has been the effectiveness of the seamers that Saeed Ajmal, Pakistan’s strike and strangle weapon for the last couple of seasons, has barely broken a sweat in the last two matches between the sides.

Pakistan's batting looks solid with the return of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq but will be looking for a solid platform to work on from Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali in his new ODI role.

The visitors, however, have much work to do in their fielding department and if the Sri Lankan batsmen show intent, it could count for a lot.

The home fans will be looking for a bit of fight from the Sri Lankan line up, which seemed without much of a plan in the first game.
